Proxy answers the phone.
Gym phones ring during classes — exactly when nobody can answer. Prospective members asking about pricing or a free intro don't leave voicemails; they try the next gym.
Proxy knows your schedule, membership options and drop-in rates, books intro sessions and transfers billing questions to your staff. It's been answering a St. George gym's phone since July 2026.
Call the demo line and tell it you run a gym — it answers as one.
- Class schedule — by day, so it never quotes the wrong times
- Membership pricing and the difference between plans
- Drop-ins and free intro sessions — booked on the call
- Kids and teen programs, events, and special hours
- Billing and account questions — transferred to staff
- Schedule changes texted in by the owner, live on the next call
1. We build it. Your receptionist is set up from your website and your answers — hours, prices, services, and which calls should always reach you.
2. Turn on missed-call forwarding. Keep your number. Calls you answer work exactly like today; the ones you miss go to Proxy instead of voicemail.
3. See what it caught. Try Pro free for 7 days on your own phone — it only answers the calls you'd have missed. Keep it and the $800 setup fee is waived.
Can I update it when the schedule changes?
Yes — the owner can text a change ("no 6pm class Thursday") and it tells callers from the next call on.
Does it work with my gym software?
It answers schedule and pricing questions from what you give it and books intros into Google Calendar. Ask about your software during setup.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number. For the free trial you turn on "forward when I don't answer" — a one-minute phone setting — so it only picks up the calls you miss.
What does it cost?
Standard is $199/month and Pro is $299/month, month to month with no contract. Start with the free 7-day Pro trial; if you keep it, the setup fee is waived.
